DockDoor Pro
A native macOS dock replacement from solo developer kepler.cafe that shows live window thumbnails, per-display profiles, widgets, and deep customization—separate from the free DockDoor app that only enhances Apple’s built-in Dock.
Typical Mac workflow
You hide or minimize the system Dock and run DockDoor Pro along any screen edge with Liquid Glass, frosted, or solid materials. Hover a running app to see live window previews, then focus, close, minimize, tile, or quit without raising the app first. Profiles let you pin apps, folders, files, spacers, and widgets per display; AppSense can switch layouts when you focus different apps.
Scroll up on the dock to open the file tray for drag-and-drop staging, pinned folders, and a built-in AirDrop zone. Built-in and marketplace widgets cover Now Playing with lyrics, clock, weather, battery, calendar, and quick actions. An Alt-Tab-style switcher, overlap avoidance, notification badges, custom icons, and over a hundred settings round out power-user control. The app is built with SwiftUI and AppKit for low overhead on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Licensing and version 0.0.143
DockDoor Pro sells for $20 as a one-time lifetime license covering up to three Macs, with a 7-day money-back guarantee during the public beta. Buy only from pro.dockdoor.net or the official Gumroad checkout; it is not on the Mac App Store. Version 0.0.143, released 4 July 2026, fixes widget file-drop routing and Calendar permission prompts for calendar widgets. Requires macOS 14 or later and Accessibility plus Screen Recording permissions for window previews.
